If you’re not familiar with Mii amo, the destination spa at Enchantment Resort in Sedona, then take a look at www.arizona-spa-experts.com for an overview. I’m happy to announce that it was just named the “worlds’s best destination spa” in the 12th annual Travel + Leisure magazine World’s Best Awards readers survey (it was named “America’s best” in 2006!). It always means so much more when a readers survey honors a resort, especially one that I like to work with and visit.
Mii amo and Sedona offer an incredible experience – it’s a location where you just feel so alive and more in tune with your self. Their “journey” programs are transformative and they promote healing and awareness.
I’m honored to be one of the first to make this announcement to my readers and if you aren’t familiar with Mii amo, it’s certainly a place to look into. Mii amo offers 3, 4 and 7-night journeys in an intimate and highly personalized setting and is in harmony with the surrounding red rock canyon and Native American culture. Mii amo will be featured in the October issue of Travel + Leisure. Again, congratulations to Mii Amo!
Enjoy your journey!

Can you travel next week? If so, there is availability for a partial stay at Rancho la Puerta (it’s usually a 7-night requirement).
Do you prefer August? If so, there’s space the week of August 4th and we can still get in on the August specials!
And, if you’re looking for fall travel, consider the week of Nov. 10.

I’ve been very excited about a presentation that Dr. Carmona, Vice-chairman of Canyon Ranch and our 17th U.S. Attorney General, will be holding soon on July 31 at Canyon Ranch in Tucson. He will discuss his experiences and you’ll have an opportunity to learn how we can enhance wellness as individuals and as a society. See below:

I’ve also included a link to today’s story about political interference and the work of the surgeon general. Because of my interest in healthcare for our nation I thought you might be interested in the story and the upcoming event at Canyon Ranch. I personally do not want to use this blog for politics, so instead I’ve included the links for those of you who choose to review them.

As always, good health to all of you and if you’re interested in the special event being held at Canyon Ranch, call me soon as we’re rapidly approaching the date.

If you haven’t traveled to the Oaks at Ojai, October may be a good time to go as they’ll be celebrating 30-years as a destination spa, and that says a lot!
Compared to other destination spas, the Oaks at Ojai is affordable, offers a great schedule of fitness classes and lectures, includes three meals per day (low calorie and delicious) and is a great option for weight loss and kicking off a healthier lifestyle (we all need a kick sometimes). It’s a smaller resort (only 46 rooms), so space is often limited and I would recommend looking into your Oaks at Ojai stay at least 30-45 days prior to your travel dates.
The Oaks at Ojai could fit what you’ve been looking for and to get a glimpse of their schedule, take a look here and then call me to discuss your goals and interests.

I often think of the movie ‘How Stella Got Her Groove Back’ when I think of Azul Blue or one of the amazing resorts in Jamaica, where that movie was filmed. Although Azul Blue is on the Mayan Riviera (Tulum, Mexico) it is a place to get your groove back and let’s face it, many of us wonder about that sometimes (be honest with yourself).
Azul Blue has recently been named one of the Top 100 resorts by Conde Nast Traveler and you can certainly see why once you experience their amazing service, the dining experience and true stresslessness as that is the mantra of this resort. Imagine a lovely room with either an indoor or outdoor jacuzzi, amazing gourmet restaurants and ‘bites’ during the day presented by your beach butler, an oceanfront spa, wine tastings and more. Below is a link to see what Entertainment Tonight had to say about this resort that is attracting celebrities and don’t think you have to have deep pockets to go, because there are specials depending on your travel dates and you may find that you return home with your groove back! Enjoy the clip and take the plunge and experience it yourself. Azul Blue and you.
